| Besides tropical shells, we sell crystals & minerals, fossils, shell jewellery, jewellery made from other natural materials, gemstone carvings, old coins, second-hand, unusual & antiquarian books (three floors of these), prehistoric, ancient and mediaeval artefacts (antiquities), ethnological artefacts, other natural history specimens, some small antiques, and much much more besides. We have obsessively expanded many sections of the shop over the last half-year; conchology/malacology and entomology are likely to be our re-stocking obsessions for the coming six months. Our shop apart, Southport's Lord Street alone is well worth a visit. It has lots of beautiful architecture and plenty of pubs and sticky bun shops. To find us easily near the impressive War Memorial, look for our ginnel (alleyway) amongst the three other shops with watery associations, namely Waterstones, Monsoon and Lakeland. |
